You remember this AM Vantage neglected in a yard in Edinburg ? (see there).
I received some news from its new owner via the AMOC. It is the 43rd produced with chassis number AM/6043/RA.
I thanks very much its new owner for the information and hope it will be back on the road soon.

"Whilst sitting in the yard in your photograph, somebody broke the quarter light window and tried to steal the car – luckily they did not succeed.
It was then moved to a ‘lock up’ garage ( see photo ‘as found in lock up’.) which is where it was when I heard about it.
A deal was done in November 2009 and we removed it on a trailer – not made any easier by the fact that the brakes did not work at all and the garage was on a hill running down to a main road!
The other 2 photos were taken in a Store where it was kept till we could make room for it at son’s house.
It now resides in an old stables outside Glasgow, where it has been since the start of 2010. As well as the brakes not working, putting a battery in has shown that all the electrics are dead, there is glass everywhere inside, the passenger door locks are jammed and doubtless there will be more.
However the body is nice and straight (though some fool has painted the bumpers!) the leather is in pretty good shape and the chassis is fair ( I know what to expect in the sills!) Importantly, everything is there so the rebuild should not be too bad.
We have had no time to do anything to it but hope to get round to rebuilding it once our 1930 International is back on the road - both axles being rebuilt and then there is our 1969 DB6 engine and gearbox to be rebuilt! Which reminds me, I have a spare DBS 6 manual ZF gearbox, which I may put into the Vantage …… (I don’t like old Aston auto boxes – they kill the performance!)
This AM Vantage will be for sale as the current owner finally doesn't have time to restore it.
